Anemonopsis californica (Yerba Mansa)

Evergreen stoloniferous herb of southwestern United States and Mexico having a pungent rootstock and small spicate flowers with white bracts suggesting an anemone. Spreads to make a groundcover 18" tall. Does well in sun to part shade and thrives in boggyconditions. This rare plant was used medicinally by Native Americans as antibacterial and antimicrobial.
Flowers: White from pink buds in Spring and Summer
Leaves: Reddish-green turning to light green with a greyish hue.
